One Economy's Digital Connectors Program identifies talented young people, immerses them in technology training, and helps build their leadership and workplace skills to enter the 21st century. Over the program, young people gain new knowledge that helps them in school, prepares them for employment, and instills the pride of knowing they have made a difference in their communties.

Pan United Youth Movement seeks to empower youth through steelband music and to develop a steel orchestra that can showcase the versatility of this instrument. Led by professional musician Shawn Thwaites, the steel orchestra develops students' skills in four critical areas:

• Music theory (taught using the Berklee School of Music approach)
• Technical skills (rudimentary to advanced)
• Care and maintenance of the instrument
• History and culture of the steelpan
