Youth of the Year
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has celebrated the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Stories of outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle have made Youth of the Year America’s premier leadership and recognition program for teens.
As our world becomes increasingly complex and interconnected, leadership skills such as communication, goal-setting and teamwork are essential for everyone – especially young people preparing to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood.
In response to the growing demand for resources that further cultivate these essential 21st century skills, BGCA created the The Youth of the Year!
Preliminary local judging will be held Friday, February 22nd and Friday, March 8th.
Maria Johnson has been chosen to represent our clubs in Richmond on April 4 and 5. Wish her the best of luck! Maria has a chance to win college scholarships throughout the process!
